Our Mission

Heritage Hall Mission:

  • To provide a permanent location (room) for the collection honoring local author and illustrator Robert McCloskey
  • To preserve and promote local history with an emphasis on changing exhibits
  • To provide access to the Frederick G. Mueller building

Some of the goals and objectives of the museum are: To expose the community and visitors to our community to the rich history of our city, to collaborate with the Butler County Historical Society in creating major exhibits at Heritage Hall annually, to publish, to promote greater awareness and knowledge of the historic architecture within the city of Hamilton, to encourage use of the former Hamilton City Council Chambers for lecture/special events, and to actively seek grant opportunities and memberships for funding sources.
